LTC Gary Kirk, President |
| Lt Col Gary Kirk was elected as the President at the 2010 State Conference at the
Marriott Hotel in Huntsville, Alabama. Lt Col Kirk is a technician with the 226 CCG. Prior to that,
he served as the Commander of the Logistics Readiness Squadron as a Supply Officer and
also served as a Communications Officer. He served in the active duty Air Force for four
years as an Operations Management Officer. He and his wife, Jeanine, have two sons,
Andrew and Ryan. Lt Col Kirk serves as an Admissions Liaison Officer for the Air Force
Academy as an additional duty and is an active member of the First Presbyterian Church
in Prattville.

LTC Nicky Medley, 1st Vice President |
| LTC Nicky Medley was elected as the 1st Vice President at the 2010 State Conference at the Marriott Hotel in Huntsville, Alabama. He is a 32-year member of the Alabama Army National Guard, and is assigned as Engineer Officer for the 62nd Troop Command. His last assignment was as the Commander of the 31st Forward Support Battalion. He’s employed fulltime with the 62nd TC and is assigned as the Security Manager, Physical Security Officer, OPSEC Manager, Safety Coordinator, Facilities Manager. He is a past President of the George Watson Chapter of Quartermaster Association. LTC Medley received his BS degree in Human Resource Management from Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. LTC Medley has two children that are married and live in the Enterprise, Alabama area. LTC Medley lives in Enterprise, Alabama. |

| Lt Col Newton was elected as the President at our 2009 State Conference at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover Alabama. He is a 27-year member of the 117th Air Refueling Wing, Alabama Air National Guard, and is assigned as Commander of the 117th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. As an additional duty, he’s an Admissions Liaison Officer in the Birmingham area for the United States Air Force Academy. | Lt. Col. Brown is the Judge Advocate representative for the National Guard Association of Alabama. He is currently assigned as the Staff Judge Advocate for the 187th Fighter Wing, Alabama Air National Guard. Lt. Col. Brown has 21 years of combined service in the United States Air Force and the Alabama Air National Guard. He is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College, the University of Alabama School of Law, and the Air War College. In his civilian employment, Lt. Col. Brown is an Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Alabama, in Montgomery. Lt. Col. Brown and his wife, Clark, reside in Montgomery, Alabama. |

Major Jon Michael Taylor, Treasurer |
| Major Taylor is the Treasurer for the National Guard Association of Alabama. He is a 23 year member of the 117th Air Refueling Wing, Alabama Air National Guard, and is assigned as the Deputy Commander of the 117th Mission Support Group. Major Taylor was selected as the 2004 and 2007 Alabama Air National Guard Company Grade Officer of the Year and served four years as the Air National Guard Company Grade Representative on the National Board of Directors of the National Guard Association of the United States. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Major Taylor and his wife, Aletha, have three children, daughters Casey and Hannah and son Matt. They reside in Remlap, Alabama. |

He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Computer and Informational Science degree, minor in Business. His last assignment was as the National Guard Adviser to the Commandant, United States Army War College (USAWC), Carlisle, Pennsylvania. COL Brown has a BS in Agronomy & Soils and an MS in Agriculture from Auburn University and a Masters in Strategic Studies from the USAWC. COL Brown resides in Collierville, Tennessee with his wife Patti and son Logan. |

| Colonel George R. McCurdy III is the Retired Life (Air) Representative on the Executive Council.
Colonel McCurdy retired as the Executive Support Staff Officer and the Technician Chief of Staff for the Alabama Air National Guard. He was assigned to the Alabama National Guard State Headquarters in Montgomery, Alabama.
Colonel McCurdy is the previous Commander, 226 Combat Communications Group, Alabama Air National Guard. Colonel McCurdy attended Marion Military Institute (Junior College) and has a degree in Business from the University of Alabama. Colonel McCurdy entered the Air National Guard in 1969 as an Airman Basic and after graduating from the University of Alabama in 1972 was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1973. He has an extensive background in air traffic control and combat communications.
Colonel McCurdy and his wife, Linda, have three children and four grandchildren.

| Stoney is the Executive Director of the National Guard Association of Alabama and the Administrator of the National Guard Association of Alabama Insurance Trust. After he received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama in 1971, he served seven years in the U.S. Navy and fifteen years with the 106th Tactical Reconaissance Squadron of the Alabama Air National Guard in Birmingham. Stoney is married to the former Brenda Tune of Birmingham. They live in Trussville and have four children and seven grandchildren. |
